Flying Car

Another day, another winged car, correct? According to The Daily Telegraph, the FAA has just now awarded the Terrafugia Transition an exemption that will permit the 1,440-pound car/aircraft mix to fly under a "light sport" conclusion, even though it hits the scales at a whopping 120 lbs. more than the rules permit. A light sport pilot license only requires 20 hours of seat time - much less than what a full pilot's license would require.

The flying car, organized to be a executable part of transit that's just as golden in the air as it is on the ground, the Transition comes filled with all of the safety goodies of your normal economy car - airbags and crumple zones are standard. While Terrafugia has not precisely said what the top speed the Transition can carry on land, it does say the craft gets about 30 mpg when zooming about town.

Net MSRP is expectable to be about $194,000.
